The Centurion 20th Century News series comprises of five different commemoratives, each depicting an iconic event with an accompanying newspaper headline to the reverse.
Hillary and Tenzing conquer Mount Everest
RMS Titanic sinks
The Hindenburg Disaster
WW1 Britain declares War on Germany
Suffragette Emily Davison killed by Kings Horse
These high quality commemoratives feature intricate detailing throughout with fully embossed designs to both sides. My photos really do not do the items justice - they are very shiny and without any marks or imperfections. Any marks are caused by the photography lighting, reflections etc - mint condition. Each has a weight of 8g and a diameter of 27mm. The last picture is for comparison next to a UK 50p coin - perfect to add to albums and collections.
Finished in 24ct Gold.
The case (14.5cm x 8.5cm x 1cm) is made from Acrylic Glass (PMMA) and is of very solid construction. There is a groove to one side so the item can easily be opened and clicked shut. The interior is composed of strong, felt covered vinyl (EVA) so your coins are held very strongly in place. There are also two small feet for display/presentation purposes - these are easily removed for ease of storage etc.
At The Commemorative Coin Company we sell Royal Mint 50p coins as well as our own range of exclusive Commemoratives. This case is perfect for the display of both.
